Only just over a month to go before the start on the CML Carpet Masters at the Stafford indoor venue. There are not many places left so get your entry in today! We are looking at running a F1 class if we can get enough interest, we will need at least 6 drivers to enter for each round to make it viable, so if you are interested just click here to go to our forum and put your name down. 20 March, 2004 -A new TORC 2004 rule concerning replacement armatures

A new rule concerning replacement armatures in the TORC 2004 has been put in place. You can find all the details in the TORC Rules for 2004 available in the TORC Micro Site.

"Only the same type of armature which was originally fitted in the motor can be installed as a replacement. People found using different armatures will be disqualified from the meeting and series. This rule is applicable to all classes (12t, 19t & 27t)."

Stafford RCMCC would like to reassert that I/C cars can only be used on the outdoor track at BRCA events. The next opportunity will therefore be on the 29th of August 2004 at the BRCA 1:10 I/C Circuit National (Rubber). Please see the BRCA Calendar for more details.

Instead of normal racing on Thursday 11th December 2003, Stafford RCMCC will be hosting a 'Tutorial Night' for racers who are new to the sport.

The event will be held in the Chetwyn Room, which is just next to the main hall, and it will be your chance to learn directly from more experienced racers. Everyone is welcome to attend and we hope to see you there!

With only 1 month to go before the first round of the Carpet Masters, entries are still down for all meetings. If you intend to enter any round of the Carpet Masters then please send your entry form to central booking NOW! Details about how to enter can be found in the CML Carpet Masters Micro Site.

Due to concerns about running a rubber control tyre in the Modified class, you will now also be allowed to run Jaco Blue foam tyres. If you would like to use foam tyres in the Modified class, then please indicate this on your entry form. If you have any queries then please contact johnrobson@ntlworld.com.

Please remember that booking will close when sufficient entries have been received, or 1 week prior to the meeting. Also note that no new entries will be permitted on the day of the meeting.

The first round at Chesterfield may be cancelled without more support, so if you intend to race then send your entry form TODAY!.

The results from round 1 of the new club league have been posted in the Club League Micro Site.

Note that the previous top 3 racers from each league have been promoted. People unable to attend the minimum number of rounds have been moved into the 'Mix & Match' league.

We appreciate that during the last league people were taking exams, and so were unable to attend the minimum number of rounds. If this applies to you and you would like to change league then please contact johnrobson@ntlworld.com.

You can now find the new dates for the CML Carpet Masters championship 2003 / 2004 in the CML Carpet Masters Micro Site. After the fire at Macclesfield, the championship will now be split between meetings at Stafford, Dudley and Clay Cross (Chesterfield).

18 April, 2003 - Robson and Maddison win the CML Carpet Masters!

The results from the final round of the CML Carpet Masters are now available in the CML Carpet Masters Micro Site. Congratulations to Stafford RCMCC members Andrew Robson, who won the Foam class, and Ian Whittingham and Byron Humphries who came 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Rubber class.
